Policies & How It Works

How It Works

Planning a custom Montana adventure starts with a conversation. We’ll learn where you want to go, when you’re visiting, what you want to do, how many people are in your party, your budget, and any special details you want included in your experience.

1. Share Your Trip Details

Send us your dates, destination ideas, group size, budget, interests, and any other information that will help us understand the experience you want.

2. Review Your Rough Draft

We’ll create a rough draft itinerary so everyone is on the same page. This plan can be adjusted as needed, but it helps us build an estimate and direction for your trip.

3. Approve The Estimate

Once you approve the rough draft and estimated cost, a non-refundable planning deposit is required to begin the full planning process. Trips over $10,000 may require a 10% deposit.

4. Get Ready For Montana

After planning begins, you’ll receive updates, recommendations, and helpful details for your trip. This may include restaurant ideas, local points of interest, gear suggestions, activity notes, and other planning support.

We can be as involved as you want us to be throughout the process so you can focus on getting excited for your Montana adventure.

Our Policies & Refunds

We work with carefully selected outfitters, guides, venues, and local providers to help create high-quality experiences. Montana 406 Outdoor Adventures cannot be held responsible for the actions, negligence, delays, cancellations, or decisions of third-party providers.

All tours and activities are planned with care and in accordance with applicable local regulations and industry best practices whenever possible. By booking with Montana 406 Outdoor Adventures, guests acknowledge and accept the risks associated with outdoor travel and adventure activities.

Privacy Policy

Montana 406 Outdoor Adventures collects personal information only as needed to provide requested services, respond to inquiries, plan trips, process payments, and communicate with clients.

Personal information may include your name, contact information, travel details, party size, payment details, preferences, and other information you choose to provide.

We may also use this information to suggest additional services or experiences that may be relevant to your trip.

The purpose for collecting personal information will be identified before or at the time it is collected whenever possible. In some cases, consent may be implied, such as when you provide contact or payment information during the planning or booking process.

Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we will do our best to help find a suitable solution when possible.

A non-refundable deposit is required to begin securing requested services. Any package over $10,000 may require a 10% deposit. Your reservation is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

All bookings must be paid in full 60 to 90 days prior to departure. Full payment is required before departure and before receiving your final confirmation kit.

If you need to cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to help find an alternative tour date, activity, or solution that meets your needs.

Please note that if you fail to show up for your scheduled tour or arrive late, we cannot offer a refund or reschedule your tour. It is your responsibility to arrive on time and prepared for your scheduled experience.

Forms Of Payment

Montana 406 Outdoor Adventures accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express through PayPal. We also accept personal checks and money orders.

All total charges for services will be disclosed before payment is requested.

Service Fees

Our goal is to be as clear as possible about all service fees. We work with outfitters, guides, and providers to bring clients high-quality experiences, often at the same price as booking directly through those providers.

Fees may vary by trip, service, supplier, group size, and planning needs. Group and loyalty discounts may be available. A full breakdown of fees will be outlined in your trip budget before payment is requested.

Montana 406 Outdoor Adventures works like a boutique concierge travel planning service. A non-refundable $250 trip planning deposit is required upfront, and you’ll receive access to our Montana Travel Concierge support at no extra charge. We work directly with trusted local guides, outfitters, and independent contractors to help shape the right experience for your group.
