Missouri Float Trips
Three To Five-Days
Paddle the historic Missouri River with expert guides who bring the area’s scenery, stories, and history to life. Each summer, Montana 406 Outdoor Adventures offers limited three to five-day canoe trips along the Missouri River and Wild and Scenic River corridor.
Expert river guides help lead the way, set up camp each night, prepare meals, and share historical knowledge of one of Montana’s most remarkable river landscapes. This all-inclusive trip is designed for travelers who want to disconnect, explore, and experience the river much like early explorers once did.
About the Float
The Mighty Missouri has shaped the land and the people who have called this region home for generations. Lewis and Clark’s Corps of Discovery traveled through this area and described scenes of remarkable beauty, including the now-famous White Cliffs of the Missouri.
The route also holds deep historical significance through westward expansion, Fort Benton’s role as an important river port, the Nez Perce crossing in 1877, and traces of earlier life such as cave paintings and tipi sites.
This trip is for travelers who truly want to get away from it all. There is no cell service, no internet, and very few other campers. Guests can expect wildlife sightings, historic points of interest, quiet river days, and opportunities to step off the water and explore.
Prices start at $1,500
